Power of Attorney

Ethiopians and Holders of Ethiopian Origin ID:

In cases where the applicant signs the Power of Attorney in front of a consular officer at the Embassy:

• Document of the Power of Attorney that will then be signed in front of a consular officer;
• Copy of valid Ethiopian passport (for Ethiopian passport holders);
• Copy of Residence/ Work permit; or any other document to the same effect;
• Copy of Ethiopian origin ID Card (for foreign nationals of Ethiopian Origin);
• Service fee of Euro 53.95 or Euro 56.15 (depending on the nature of the document) in cash;

In cases where the Power of Attorney is sent to the Embassy by mail:

• Notarized by a notary office; and legalized Power of Attorney by the Foreign Ministry of the country where the applicant resides;
• Copy of valid Ethiopian passport (for Ethiopian passport holder);
• Copy of Residence/ Work permit; or any other document to the same effect;
• Copy of Ethiopian origin ID Card (for foreigners who are holding Ethiopian origin ID card);
• Service fee of Euro 53.95 or Euro 56.15 (depending on the nature of the document) in cash;

• A self addressed return envelope with prepaid postage;

Foreign Nationals

• Notarized by a notary office; and legalized Power of Attorney by the Foreign Ministry of the country where the applicant resides;
• Copy of valid Ethiopian passport (for Ethiopian passport holder);
• Copy of Residence/ Work permit; or any other document to the same effect;
• Copy of Ethiopian origin ID Card (for foreigners who are holding Ethiopian origin ID card);
• Service fee of Euro 82.60 or Euro 87.00 (depending on the nature of the document) in cash;
